How to read a B2B quotation: 6 terms that change your landed cost
Incoterm, MOQ tiers, payment terms, lead time, validity and packaging — a practical checklist before you accept a quotation.
A quotation is more than a unit price. Before you accept, confirm these six items:
1. Incoterm and scope
FOB puts loading cost on us but leaves ocean freight to you. DDP includes duty, which is often the biggest variable.
2. Quantity tiers
Most of our lines have three price breaks. Confirm the tier your order actually lands in, including packaging quantity.
3. Payment terms
30/70 T/T is standard; L/C at sight is available for orders above USD 50,000.
4. Lead time
Production lead time excludes inspection and booking, which typically adds 5–9 days.
5. Validity
Quotations are valid 15 days by default and expire automatically in our system.
6. Packaging
Export carton, pallet and shipping mark costs are quoted separately unless stated.
