New EU packaging regulation: what importers should prepare for in 2027
PPWR requires recyclable packaging and minimum recycled content. We already offer FSC and mono-material options for EU buyers.
The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) will tighten requirements on recyclability, recycled content and empty space ratio.
What we can do now for EU-bound orders:
- FSC-certified corrugated board
- Mono-material mailers without plastic windows
- Water-based ink printing
- Packaging weight and volume reporting per SKU
